Description
"Surface View" | Orca - Killer Whale | Strait of Georgia | British Columbia | Canada
There are many pods of whales that come through this area. Some of those pods feed on sea mammals and others feed on fish. Research has shown that groups of Orca have their own language and different pods don't communicate with each other. Extremely interesting is that other sea mammals like sea lions have been known to travel with fish eating Orca pods presumably for a sense of protection. Somehow they know they are swimming with the fish eaters.
